THE UPCOMING MEMOIR

A Quest — From the Straits of Macinac to the Bitter End. A year-long voyage and a deeply personal search for freedom, purpose, identity, and home.

When the life you built no longer feels like your own.

Looped follows a father, husband, and successful business consultant as he stumbles into a midlife crisis and walks away from an apparently idyllic life.

Tim quits his high-power crisis-management partnership, leaves home with no plan to return, and heads over the horizon aboard an exquisite 53-foot sailboat. He is pursuing a childhood dream: purple islands rising from a blue-green sea.

The physical journey runs from the Great Lakes, through America’s river system, to the Eastern Caribbean and back through New York City and the Erie Canal. The inner journey is harder to chart — shaped by danger, debauchery, solitude, friendship, love, and the desire for true peace.
